Greater Manchester Police define domestic abuse as; "Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members."

The Omega Women's Centre supports women who have or who are experiencing domestic abuse. Our staff are trained to provide a confidential one-to-one support service.

The Omega Women's Centre can support vicitms of domestic abuse in a number of ways including:

- Confidential telephone advice
- Assisstance to access emergency accommodation
- Support in obtaining injunctions / non-molestation orders
- Housing advice
- Safety planning advice
- Benefits / debt advice
- Emotional support
- Support in making statements to the police
- Access to solicitors
- Access to pet fostering services
- Confidential counselling service
- Support around safe child contact
